接受了火箭開出的 4 年 2880 萬報價單。有人認為林書豪可以獲得更高的價碼，應該再觀望；也有人認為尼克若硬著頭皮跟這張報價，會被豪華 稅拖垮球隊的未來 。 故且不論林書豪的身價 是否值得這樣的投資 , 我們先來討論 在 CBA 現行規定下，他可以簽到多大的合約。 首先我們必須 談到 CBA 中的 Gilbert Arenas 條款。此條款的起因是 Gilbert Arenas 以第二輪新秀之姿在勇士隊打出驚人表現，但兩年期的新人合約滿之後，巫師開出千萬合約挖角， 原球隊 勇士卻受限於 CBA 規定，無法比照巫師的出價留人。隔年同樣的情況又發生在 Carlos Boozer 身上，而且還牽涉到叛逃、誠信等話題。由於這兩個案例， 2005 年版 CBA 之中，加入了 Arenas 條款。 Arenas 條款可謂 CBA
