HIDALGO — It wasn’t too difficult to spot Hasheem Thabeet on Sunday,
as the newest addition to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers literally stood
out during his first practice after being assigned to the team by the
Houston Rockets.
The 7-foot-3 Thabeet towered over his new teammates as they worked
out in anticipation of Monday night's game against the Idaho Stampede at
State Farm Arena. He’s expected to be in the starting lineup and add
much-needed size to a Vipers frontline whose tallest listed player
before Thabeet’s arrival was 6-10.
