Bucks trade Mbah a Moute to Kings for picks
July 9, 2013 3:47 pm ET
The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade Luc Richard Mbah a Moute to the Sacramento Kings for two future second-round picks, league sources told CBSSports.com on Tuesday.
Mbah a Moute, a versatile wing defender who can also play power forward in smaller lineups, is owed $9 million over the next two years and became the odd man out in a frontcourt logjam in Milwaukee. The Bucks have agreed to terms with free-agent forward Zaza Pachulia on a three-year, $15-million deal, adding the former Hawks big man to a frontcourt rotation that already includes Larry Sanders, Ersan Ilyasova, Ekpe Udoh and John Henson.
Rival teams believe the Bucks are a prime candidate to use the amnesty provision this week on forward Drew Gooden, who has two years and $13.4 million remaining on the five-year, $32-million contract Milwaukee signed him to in 2010.
The Bucks also have added free agents O.J. Mayo and Carlos Delfino to their backcourt this summer. Shooting guard Monta Ellis opted out of his $11-million deal for next season and is trying to land with Sacramento, Atlanta, Dallas or possibly Charlotte, sources say. Point guard Brandon Jennings, a restricted free agent, has yet to receive an offer sheet from another team.
