Ex-NBA Player Eric Williams -- I'm Homeless

 Former NBA player Eric Williams -- who spent 12 seasons in league -- says he is

homeless and broke … this according to legal docs obtained by TMZ Sports.

Williams -- who also appeared on "Basketball Wives" -- made the shocking statements in a

letter he wrote to a Colorado court recently explaining why he could not attend a child support

hearing in CO earlier this month.

Among the reasons, Williams says a "court-ordered citation for me to appear was not delivered

to my home address as I have no home."

Williams -- who's on the hook for more than $24k in unpaid support to the mother of his 13-year-

old son -- also says his financial situation is so dire, he can't afford airfare and has no money to

pay a lawyer.

In his letter, Williams says he is currently a volunteer at an unnamed non-profit organization --

and says, "I'm in the rebuilding stages of my life."

We reached out to Williams for comment. So far, no word back.

他當初在Celtics展開新人球季時,被認為是潛力新秀,6呎8吋的小前鋒,擅長籃下攪和,第一個球季,平均10.7分,命中率44%,就他第一輪14順位的選秀順位來看,也算不錯了.

很久之前的<SLAM>雜誌,對他的評語,也不錯: Willams在職業生涯前期完全無防守,在經歷了韌帶斷裂的致命傷痛後,改以防守為職志,"回鍋"Celtics後成為球隊的防守代言人,打死不退的強悍形象成為Williams的象徵.有6呎8吋的身高,能從得分後衛打到大前鋒,遇到高個兒能夠用切入製造機會,遇到矮個子也能夠低位單打.

他在NBA的12個球季,是個稱職的綠葉球員.

NBA的球員,其實到了21世紀後,就算是綠葉,薪水至少每季平均也有300萬美金起跳.會破產or沒錢,我覺得最主要的原因,就是不會理財.還有一些私人因素如買車買房,或者是把錢花在朋友和異性身上等...

另一個也曾待過Celtics的天才控球Kenny Anderson,也是退休後搞到破產,嗚嗚.
