Kyle Korver has agreed to re-sign with the Hawks on a four-year deal worth $24 million. Korver posted the second-best three-point percentage in the NBA last season for Atlanta.
After being courted by several teams, Kyle Korver has agreed to re-sign with theAtlanta Hawks on a four-year deal worth $24 million, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
It initially looked unlikely that Korver would be back with the Hawks, as Stein had reported Sunday night that a deal between Korver and the Brooklyn Netswas "in the bag." But better offers began to pour in for the sharpshooter, and the Nets dropped out of the running.
Stein reports that the Milwaukee Bucks offered a three-year deal worth $21 million, but Korver turned that offer down and the Bucks instead wound up agreeing to a deal with O.J. Mayo. The San Antonio Spurs also went after Korver.
Korver had one of the best seasons of his career in 2012-13 for the Hawks, starting 60 games and averaging 10.9 points while shooting 45.7 percent from three-point range. That three-point mark was good for second in the NBA.
